Time To Be At One

The past couple of weeks have been hectic, 3 birthdays and several blogger events all at once, no wonder I felt like I'd had no time off!! So when the email arrived in my inbox from the lovely Sophie at Be At One Liverpool inviting me to their Detox Masterclass, let's just say I was more than a little excited! Cocktails and some of my best blogger friends, what more does a girl need?!

Before the event I had never actually heard of Be At One or knew that we had one in Liverpool. I have definitely got to be the cocktail queen apart from red wine, I always seem to go for cocktails when I got out. On the night, our two lovely bartenders Daisy and Chris kindly told us all about Be At One. I was really surprised to find out that it was actually started by three friends who met through working together and decided to quit their jobs and use credit cards and car loans to buy an old Indian restaurant in Battersea which has only blossomed from there and has now expanded across the UK into these fabulous cocktail bars.

As I'd never been before, I met up with the lovely Sam and Steph outside the Seal Street venue which is definitely a hidden gem in Liverpool's city centre! As we arrived, we were greeted by Sophie with glasses of Prosecco, giving us all the chance to chat, catch up and check out their cocktail bible. If you haven't been to Be At One or simply don't know what cocktail you fancy, their cocktail bible has a circle of cocktails where you can choose what flavour you want such as sweet, dry, refreshing, fruity. You can then choose what spirit you would like and it will give you a selection of cocktails that would be perfect for you.

So we were actually all there to try out their new Virtuous Cocktails range which have been specially developed to include unrefined sugars, healthier ingredients and a lower alcohol content which means you can have that cocktail you've been lusting after whilst staying within your 2017 goals. Throughout the evening we got the chance to do it all, from seeing all the cocktails being made, to making our own, to playing cocktail making games.

I decided to make the Bee's Knees cocktail which had Beefeater gin, lemon juice, Manuka honey and pollen syrup all in a beautiful martini glass. Let me tell you it was delicious, sweet but tangy. Sam tried out the Almond Mocha which was so good but it does not taste like it had any alcohol in it which could make it very dangerous as you can drink them so easily!

I had so much fun making cocktails whilst chatting and laughing with some of my favourite bloggers, the new Virtuous cocktails from Be At One are delicious and perfect for having cocktails with the girls. You should go and check them out at your local Be At One!

Speak to you next time!
