Showing Urban Decay Some Liverpool Love

Liverpool women and even a couple of amazing men are famous throughout the country for our makeup and fashion choices and with our makeup choices comes our love of Urban Decay, so it was only right that they opened a stand-alone store in the city centre! And I got a sneak peek at the new store at a recent VIP launch!

The Christmas Tag

It's about that time in Blogmas that I included a tag blog post right?! I've begun to feel increasingly festive, I'm going to put it down it down to playing Micheal Buble's Christmas album on repeat in my car every day! I spotted this tag over on Milk Bubble Tea and thought I'd give it a try.

Let's Get Christmasy With A Christmas Playlist

We're coming to the end of the first full week in December and I'm not going to lie, I might have had Christmas music playing since the 2nd of December. Now I know music is a very personal thing and granted you're not guaranteed to like everything on this little list but I feel like with Christmas music more people tend to like the same songs. So I decided to share my favourite Christmas songs that I love to listen to in the run up to Christmas.

Time For Christmas Jumpers

The past two years I've gotten more into wearing Christmas jumpers and t-shirts. I'm not going to lie, this year I've decided to go all out with being festive this year, however I've decided I am going to start off being slightly Christmasy at the beginning of December to being full out festive as we get closer to Christmas! With that in mind I thought I would show you my jumper wishlist for this year.

Beauty Advent Calendars

We are officially mid-November, so that means it's totally acceptable to get into the Christmas spirit and start looking at advent calendars, right?! Over the past couple of years beauty advent calendars have been growing in popularity and nearly every brand seems to have released one for 2016, so here's my picks for this year! I've tried to separate them into different categories and I've also tried to put them in price order starting from cheapest to the most expensive.

Time For Pupcakes

I don't know if I've ever introduced you lovelies to my dog and cat, both are getting older now so this year we decided to do a bit more than we usually do for his doggy birthday. This year we decided to have a puppy party after all the trick or treaters had been (yes my dog is a Halloween baby and where we live has mostly younger children which means our trick or treaters usually don't knock too late into the evening!). For his puppy party, I used some of my baking skills to whip up some pupcakes for him and I thought I would share the recipe with you all because he loved them!

Getting Fit with GymCube ~ First Impressions

As most of you are probably aware I'm on a journey to become healthier and make better choices food and fitness wise. A part of that is to exercise more and hopefully loose a little bit of weight and get trim in the process! If you didn't know I am a student nurse with roughly 5 weeks left before I qualify as a registered nurse (well I have passed all my exams, I just need to 'pass' this final placement and then I will be a registered nurse), as a student nurse I work (yes it's work, I have my own patients like any other nurse!) 37.5 hours a week which means I am up at 5am and not back home till about 19.30 in the evening which makes getting to the gym quite challenging at times! So when the lovely Rick from GymCube got in touch offering me a 6-month membership to their online gym system I jumped at the chance!

Getting a tan with Madame LA LA

There is something you should know about me....I really struggle to get any sort of tan! I haven't sunbathed since about high school but when I do 'catch' the sun, I burn then go brown for less than a week and it all peels off! Over the years I have begun to come to terms with my paleness (that sounds really silly to say but I have!), however I've never really been able to like how pale my legs are when I wear skirts, dresses or shorts.

My AM/PM Routine

I don't know about you but I love watching people's routine videos on YouTube and reading their blog posts as I think I'm really just nosey as to how people organise their mornings/evenings. I think it also prompts me to become more organised in my daily routines (mine do slip from time to time) by seeing how other people organise theirs! I tend to stick to a routine probably about 50% of the time and I find that if I don't stick to some form of routine, my mornings/evenings just become a complete mess and I end up just watching Netflix for hours! That being said I saw Sally from The Makeup Directory post about her AM/PM routine in the form of a tag post and I really wanted to try it out and do my own as I am not skilled enough to film a routine video for my YouTube channel!

If you have been reading my blog since the start of 2016, you will know that one of my new year's resolutions is to tone up and lose some weight. It'll be the end of the year before we know it! As I said at the beginning of the year, I tend to stick to pretty much the same things on a month to month basis and it's only when something runs out that I tend to try something new. With that being said, this month I've picked up quite a few little bits that I've fallen in love with over the course of this month and have become my favourites!

Fleur De Force 'The Glam Guide' Book Review

I thought this week I would branch out my blog posts as I wanted to start including a couple of books, mainly because I used to be such a MASSIVE book worm when I was younger and I want to fall back in love with them! Now I know YouTuber books are in that kind of grey area as it seems like EVERYONE has or is bringing one out and it's just a case of waiting for the next one. However this was the first book I bought that was written by a YouTuber, mainly because it looked so pretty and Fleur De Force was one of the first YouTubers I ever watched when I first started watching videos.

My B12 Deficiency

I decided that today I wanted to open up to all you lovelies about something I've struggled with for over 10 years! I have a pernicious anaemia which is also known as B12 deficiency and it is something I have really suffered from and unfortunately there is currently no cure so it is something I have had to adapt my life to.

Within the red blood cells in your body, you have 3 components that are essential to allow the RBC's to perform their main function of carrying oxygen around your body. One of these components is vitamin B12 or cobalamin (which you can actually find in a lot of meat, fish and dairy), once it's ingested it binds to an intrinsic factor which allows it to be digested within the intestine. Unfortunately for some people with pernicious anaemia their condition can actually be caused by their bodies inability to produce that factor, although for most people that suffer from PA the problem lies with their bodies actually producing anti-intrinsic factor antibodies which essentially kill off the intrinsic factors that the vitamin B12 need to bind to. Because our bodies cannot tell the difference between the healthy and unhealthy intrinsic factors, it is referred to as an autoimmune disorder as the body kills off all the cells of that type.
