August Favourites

August has been a month of me mostly being on nights at placement, so my monthly favourites are pretty boring! They will liven up soon as I finish placement mid-way through September.

Beauty Favourite
Due to being on night shifts for the past month, my top beauty favourite has got to be my savior foundation by Max Factor. I bought the FaceFinity All Day Flawless foundation last month and have used it whenever I do my makeup, this stuff is amazing!! I have never had a foundation that lasts all day and looks like I've just applied it, I can do a 12 hour shift with an hour travelling each way with no problems foundation wise.

Experiences ~ SIM Day Training

I've been quite lucky with my university in that they arrange for us to spend a day every year of our training at a local Liverpool hospital doing training with the simulation dolls that have in their education centre.

I was tagged by the lovely Chelsea from Le Beau Fleur to do the Netflix Tag, I've never heard of this tag but I recently got Netflix and have fell in love with it.

Healthy eating and shift work??!

I've been back at placement three weeks now and with starting back at placement comes working crazy shift patterns with travelling to and from placement as well as the crazy break times (anyone not in healthcare, you get a break when you can not when you feel like it!). Due to all of that and more it means being healthy on placement takes some thought and some preparation beforehand! I've picked three meals I have the most often whilst on placement for each meal of the day.

Love Hate Tag

Last week I was tagged by the lovely Danielle of Mylilyotv to do the love/hate tag. This is a great tag as it tells all you lovely readers more about me as I list 10 things I love and 10 things I hate.

You did what?? Surgical Terms you need to know!

I wish when I started my very first placement I found a post with these all in one places as some you can guess or you may know someone who will have had some sort of surgery on them so may have been able to figure out what was what!

July Favourites

Beauty Favourite
My goal this month was to get much better with taking off my makeup before bed (yes I don't always manage to take my makeup off before I fall asleep!), I have found that I am getting much better thanks to the Garnier miscellar water. It is so easy to take my makeup off with this stuff and best of all it doesn't sting when taking my eye makeup off. I have noticed it takes a little longer to get my waterproof Max Factor mascara off but it still gets it off!

Reduce Your Risk ~ ProfBiotics

The other week the lovely Sam at Spink Health contacted me about a range of vitamin and dietary supplements they have released that aim to support the wellbeing of 5 different areas of your body, breast, pancreas, bowel, liver, and prostate. These are all part of their #reduceyourrisk campaign, a campaign that looks to people sharing personal stories and their tips and tricks on how we all like to reduce our risk. Feel free to pop your personal stories or tips and tricks in the comments below or go along to the hashtag on all social media and spread them there!
