As a nurse, it's not often that I get the chance to get all glammed up or when I do I don't get to be glammed up for long. Thankfully I've discovered the world of false lashes and faux manicures from KISS and imPRESS which means I can still look all glammed up and pretty at a moments notice and don't have to worry about getting it off for my shift the next day!

The lovely folks at KISS sent me over a selection of their stick-on gel nails and fake lashes to test out. I have to keep my nails pretty short and plain for work because of infection control so it's always a nice treat when I get to have my nails done and looking all pretty, but the one thing that always puts me off is the time and effort that goes into painting my nails only for me to smudge it or it to chip off within a couple of days!

Thankfully having stick on nails is the perfect solution for me, even in my sleep deprived, post-nights state I can still get these on without any problems. The three sets of nails I've got at the moment are Power Up, Bells & Whistles and Ab Fab. This autumn I have been loving the berry creme colours, now that we're officially November, it's time to crack out the glitter accents nails. I remember back in high school using stick-on nails that came with nail glue and having to stick them on without sticking my cuticles to my false nails or stay still long enough until the glue had dried (if you haven't got it already, I'm awful at sitting still long enough to let things dry!), these are so easy to use, all you have to do is clean off your nails, pick the right sizes then apply. It's just that simple! For me, a full set usually lasts for about 5 days of tapping away at a computer, phone or forever washing my hands before I need to replace them.

I am plagued with fair blonde lashes that don't like to stay curled for long so false lashes have become my saviour when it comes to events and I've even started using them when filming my Youtube videos to make me look like I've actually got eyelashes! KISS lashes were brand new to me so I was excited to try out three different pairs, the Lash Couture in Midnight, Couture Triple Push-Up in Bustier and Couture 5th Avenue in Opulence

My favourite has definitely got to be the Lash Couture in Midnight, for me they're the perfect lashes for videos and for wearing to events (especially if I'm going to be out during day before an event!). I find them easy to apply, even for a lash novice like myself. They took a little bit of trimming because I have tiny eyes but once they were cut to fit I found them pretty comfortable to wear, the only ones that I've haven't tried yet is Opulence lashes as for me I find them more going out/event and I haven't really had an event or evening out lately that they would be perfect for.

I feel like my tradition of painting my nails on the first day of my annual leave is going to be changed to applying my false nails on the first day of my annual leave from now on. I also love that they're super easy to apply (literally within minutes!) so I can even apply them when I have a couple of days off or if I've got an event before work, I can literally slap them on then peel them off like a sticker!
