Transitioning To Autumn Fashion | Pink Clove

Transitioning into Autumn fashion is difficult for me as I'm a complete Winter baby so once it gets to the 1st September, I am completely ready to start wearing layers and wearing all the berry, navy and forest green colours. Unfortunately this year the weather and me had different plans when it came to the beginning of September, thankfully Pink Clove sent me over a couple of bits to allow me to transition from Summer to Autumn even with the hot weather we had.

Pink Clove is a plus sized online fashion retailer that offer sizes 16-28. All of their clothing is designed to flatter a fuller figure and is inspired by the amazing trends that you can currently see. They offer everything from great styles for every day to dresses for going out and they even have shoes to complete the outfits you pick from them.

My favourite piece is definitely these Jamie frayed ankle grazer jeans, for me a true tell of any clothing store is how their jeans are sized and how true to size they actually are. As a plus sized blogger, I don't exactly have the smallest bottom/thighs but have a smaller waist so I struggle to find jeans that fit me without them either sitting too low and having to pull them up every time I move cause I feel like my bum is completely on show or I literally feel like my thunder thighs are gonna bust out the sides! At most stores, I get my jeans in about a size 14/16 depending on the fit (yes I'm looking at you Primark!), so I decided that I would get these jeans in a size 16. I was actually surprised that the fit on these is really generous and I feel like there's a bit more room in the thigh and bum area, I'm only 5ft 3" so these were a bit too long to be ankle grazers on me and the waist came up a bit higher as a result so I did have to belt them just to make sure I didn't flash anyone when I bent down or sat down on a chair. I loved the distressed effect on the jeans, I didn't really use to like having super distressed jeans as I don't have bones for legs and sometimes they can be super unflattering depending on where the distressing is. These jeans are perfect for Autumn because you don't have to worry about freezing your legs off as the weather turns colder!

I picked up this Rosalie oriental printed jacket as I was quite curious as to how it was going to fit as I never have much luck with these type of jackets. It's a 3/4 length sleeve in a gorgeous emerald green oriental design, you also get a tie so you can cinch in your waist or like I did tie it behind your back for just an open style jacket. This jacket wasn't so much of a winner for me as it was weirdly tight at the tops of my arms which I think is 80% related to the polyester material as I know tops/jackets that I've had in this material can fit a little weird particularly on the arms for some reason. I do love the pattern on this though and the thinner style of the jacket allows you to stay cool during the changing of the seasons.

For me, the changing of the seasons is the hardest part of going into Autumn because it's ridiculously too warm for me to wear all the layers and knitwear that my heart truly desires, being able to find pieces that suit a fuller figure and help me deal with the hot weather is a true godsend. I can't wait to see what Pink Clove brings out for Autumn and Winter!
