Getting Picture Perfect | Jessops Liverpool Launch

Danielle Levy, Jessops, Jessops Liverpool, Liverpool, Liverpool blogger, Wirral blogger,

Jessops has been a brand that I've always thought of when it comes to cameras, photography and all the advice I often need alongside them. It wasn't somewhere that I instantly thought of when it came to photo printing and as a child I used to love flicking through the family photo albums and looking at how we've all changed in photos and how photos have changed over the years. Thankfully, with the relaunch of their Liverpool store I got a chance to fall back in love with printing off photos all over again!

Jessops have completed relaunched and redesigned their Liverpool store to give it a complete focus on photography with a divide focusing on the cameras and how you take the photos as well as a new focus on what you do with the photo after it's been taken. Jessops are wanting to encourage people to get back into printing off photos (not just having them all on your phone like me!) and getting more creative with displaying them. They kindly invited me down to have a look around their new store and I got to have a go at printing my own canvas to show how quick and easy it was.

When you walk into the new Liverpool store they have transformed the right side of the store to be completely focused on the printing of photos and how to get creative with picture taking. Right as you walk in as well as right by the till, there are several printing machines where you can do everything from printing basic photos to go in albums from memory cards, CDs and even your phone to printing photo books and canvases. I had a little play with the printing machines whilst I was there and they're so simple to use. With their photobooks, Jessops also offer you the option to either create the entire thing at home and send it to your local store to be printed, create it at home and then view it on the printing machine in store and get the photosmiths advice or you can come with all the photos and create it in store with the help of the photosmiths.

One of my favourite parts of the store is that not only can you get your photos printed there but you can actually pick up something to put them in. Something that always puts me off getting my pictures printed is that I never have anything to put them in and normally the places that I get them printed often don't sell frames or albums so they often get left in a drawer. Thankfully, Jessops have thought of that and have a large selection of albums and frames (including really pretty glitter frames!).

Visiting the new Jessops store has made me want to print off a bunch of pictures and start putting them in albums for me to look back on every year. When I left Jessops kindly gifted me a beautiful 16x12 canvas of one of my favourite photos that I've gathered through taking photos on my blog. They also kindly gifted me some bits to get started with scrapbooking, I got a massive scrapbook which I'm thinking I might fill with pictures of 2018, I also got some scented glitter pens, of course, to make everything look pretty and a glue pen to stick everything in with. They also very generously gave me a voucher for 200 6"x4" pictures to get me started.

Thank you so much to Jessops for inviting me down to the new Liverpool store, I left so inspired to work on my blog photography and inspired to go and take a bunch of photos and get them printed. I really like the idea of having something to look back on my year and see how things and people have changed.

Do you like printing off photos or do you like to keep them on your phone?

Speak to you next time!

  1. Every year I say I'm going to start a scrap book and every year I fail to do so, but I swear one of these years I will! I've started gathering digital files of my photos and saving them by year, now I just need to print them out and get the stuck down! Loving the look of the new store, and they have so many brilliant gift ideas, and who doesn't love a photo gift?? Christmas sorted!
