Becca Cosmetics Comes To Liverpool

Danielle Levy, Becca, Becca Cosmetics, Becca Cosmetics Liverpool, beauty, beauty blogger, beauty blogger Liverpool,

I don't think I have ever been more excited to write a blog post than I have for this one! I found Becca Cosmetics back in 2009 when I was in high school and first got into Youtube and beauty vloggers. Unfortunately, at the time I fell in love with Becca, I was unavailable to get it in the UK. When it actually became available to ship to the UK it became obscenely expensive (it's gotten better now thanks to companies like Cult Beauty stocking it), thankfully John Lewis have got the exclusive to be the first ones to have the in-store exclusive for Becca counters.

I was completely gutted that I missed the blogger launch event for the Becca counter (thanks work!), thankfully the lovely Rachel invited me to come in last week for a 1:1 session with the amazing Becca makeup artists to get the Becca glow! The Shimmering Skin Perfectors were the first Becca products that I found out about so not gonna lie, I got very excited the morning of my visit to the counter as I was actually going to see Skin Perfectors in the flesh and be able to swatch them all!

My 1:1 Becca Glow makeover was with the lovely Greta (fyi she does amazing special effects makeup as well as amazing Becca glow makeovers!), not only was she super friendly, she also gave me an amazing Becca transformation as well as explaining all the different ways you can use the products as she went along.

After a quick cleanse and moisturise, we got started on that lit from within base. Greta used the Backlight Priming Filter which is a gorgeous pearlescent primer that helps to blur imperfections, prep and smooth your skin to allow for an even better foundation application and it gives your skin a soft focus luminous glow. As you all know I'm all about the full-coverage foundation that lasts all day, so I tested out the Ultimate Coverage Foundation and Concealer for a full-coverage base that is long-lasting and water resistant (yes you read that right and it's perfect for this hot and humid weather!). Of course, I am the palest of the pale shade but with over 20 shades of foundation and 12 shades of concealer, you can find a full-coverage shade perfect for your skin tone.

Next up Greta used one of my favourite products, the Be A Light palette which contains 4 products for only £35!! All four products in the palette are designed to blur, define and illuminate your skin, you can even mix and match and build your own custom glow with this palette! Can you tell I'm just a little bit excited for this palette? The palette comes with a brightening powder, blur powder, contour and blush and comes in either light to medium or medium to deep colourways. To finish off the skin, we topped it with some of the Shimmering Skin Perfectors (yes I died when I finally got to use them!) in rose gold and moonstone. I mean I couldn't come to Becca and not try out their iconic highlighters!

To finish off my Becca Glow makeover, Greta used the Ombre Nudes Eye Palette and Royal Glow Shimmering Skin Perfector to create a gorgeous glowing, neutral eye look. Lastly, we used the Glow Gloss in the shade Opal as the finishing touch to the look. This product really intrigued me as it has the texture and shine of a lipgloss with the nourishment of a lip balm, also a big plus my hair didn't get all up in it, major points to Becca! I loved the Opal shade as it's a natural pink colour with gold pearlescent in it, it's the perfect throw on without a mirror shade.

I'm so excited that Becca have now got a counter in my local John Lewis, I feel like I am going to become slightly addicted (like I am with Armani and particularly their Neo Nude collection!). I did come away with a couple of goodies but I'm gonna save them for a future blog post coming very soon. Don't forget you can head to the counter in Liverpool for their Glow Bar services, they have everything from free 5 minutes glow to go services to 30 minute (£20) and 45 minute (£45) makeovers that you can redeem on products whilst you're there!

Have you tried Becca products yet?

Speak to you next time!
*I was invited to the Becca counter for a 1:1 makeover. All opinions are honest and my own.
