The Giorgio Armani Prive Experience | Selfridges Manchester

Danielle Levy, Giorgio Armani, Giorgio Armani Prive, beauty blogger, Selfridges, Selfridges Manchester, fragrance, beauty blogger Liverpool,

I think it is safe to say I have officially been converted to an Armani girl! Since being invited in to the Giorgio Armani counter in Chester back in March last year by the lovely Kate, I have quickly grown my collection of Giorgio Armani products and it is now my go-to brand for makeup and fragrances that I recommend to everyone. Last week I got the chance to attend an amazing Armani Prive fragrance event at Selfridges Manchester where I got to learn all about the Armani Prive fragrances and figure out my favourite one.

Last week Selfridges Manchester were hosting a series of events in store with different brands for their Scents of Occasions event and I managed to score an invite to the Armani one. I got into Manchester super early (thanks Sunday trains!) so I spent some time wandering around the Arndale centre picking up birthday presents and enjoying some much-needed sunshine before I headed over to Selfridges.

As I walked over to where they were hosting the event, I was completely gobsmacked with how gorgeous the set-up for the event was. A large, white table decorated head to toe in stunning bouquets of flowers from Venus Flowers. Venus Flowers are truly amazing florists that offer designer flower bouquets in Oxford Street, Manchester. They offer stunning floral displays for presents and events as well as displays for hotels, stores and offices. For the Armani Prive event, they had arranged some incredibly beautiful bouquets with a combination of hydrangeas and roses in pale and royal blue. The accents of the blue flowers against the black and white were the perfect background for pictures and it was a stunning pop of colour.

Of course, this event wasn't just a blogger event, it was open to anyone that fancied coming along so I met some of the great customers that shop regularly at the Selfridges counter and are fellow Armani addicts like me! We started off with a glass of bubbly served by a very good looking waiter (nice touch Armani!) and we had a chance to chat whilst everyone arrived, I ran into Robyn from the Chester counter so we ended up having a catch-up whilst everyone was arriving. It was then time to take about fragrances! The event was broken down into the four different types of Prive fragrances that Armani offer and we talked about some of the most popular/interesting ones in each section.

The Les Eaux range is inspired by the garden of Eden, all the fragrances in the range are made to be unisex as well as being able to layer them on top of each other to find your perfect fragrance. My favourite from the Les Eaux range is definitely the Pivoine Suzhou, it was inspired by the gardens of Asia and features China's most beloved flower peonies with hints of rose, wood and musk. I have loved and have always been wearing it since October last year and I still have 3/4 of it left as you really only need a small amount and it lasts all day!

We then moved onto the La Collection Mille Et Une Nuits range which is the next step-up in their fragrances, this range is made with even higher quality ingredients than the Les Eaux range. My favourite from this range is definitely the Oud Royal fragrance, the idea behind this fragrance is that it reflects the Orient itself with Oud wood as the main scent coming through when sprayed. Although it was inspired by the churches in Italy, whenever I smell it it always reminds me of a spice market. Whilst it's a bit too deep and strong for me, I think it would smell amazing on a man!

The last range of fragrances is definitely one of my most favourites, I like about 80% of the range and it definitely has the prettiest bottles of all the Armani Prive fragrances! The La Collection Les Terres Precieuses is inspired by the spirituality and mysticism of India. My favourite, Bleu Turquoise fragrance represents the meeting of the sky and the sea, the deep blue on the bottles are designed to represent the spirit of the universe. I love perfumes with vanilla in and this is my perfect match with vanilla and sea salt. I love that turquoise is the stone for protection and wellbeing and like true pieces of turquoise, each bottle of Bleu Turquoise is totally unique.
