Getting Peachy With Too Faced Liverpool | Peaches & Cream Collection

Too Faced has always been a brand that I've loved the look (and scent!) of, but I've never managed to purchase anything from. Thankfully a year ago my local Debenhams in Liverpool got their very own Too Faced counter giving the amazing people of Liverpool the chance to have unapologetically glamorous makeup that smells incredible! Hannah and the lovely girls at Too Faced Liverpool invited me down on the week of their one year birthday in Debenhams to check out the launch of the Peaches & Cream collection.

Too Faced was created in the 90's (of course I'm gonna love it as a 90's child myself!) by Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson to uplift the darkness and inject some fun back into the cosmetics industry. Their inspiration for the brand was their love for Paris, complete girliness and the power of transforming yourself with cosmetics. And so, Too Faced was born in 1998 and you'll be happy to know that all their products are cruelty-free too and some pieces are even vegan-friendly!

The Peaches & Cream collection launched last week online and in Debenhams, it follows on from the ever popular Sweet Peach collection from last year. The idea behind the collection is that it revolutionizes the way people wear matte makeup, giving it a more modern feel keeping your skin matte whilst giving it a velvet finish. The entire collection is infused with real peaches and sweet fig milk giving the collection and amazing scent that Too Faced are oh so famous for with their products! The products give you that matte, not flat look to your makeup, giving you a gorgeous soft-focused, glowing skin. It's a perfect collection to launch for the summer time as it leaves you smelling of peaches, with beautiful glowing skin that's transfer resistant.

When I arrived Hannah talked me through the new Peaches & Cream collection and got started on pulling out products from the collection to try out. For the base, we used a combination of the Primed & Peachy primer and Hangover primer to help keep the oiler parts of my face matte throughout the day whilst giving the drier parts of my face some much need hydration. I loved the Peach Perfect foundation, it gives medium but buildable comfort-matte coverage that is transfer resistant and lasts for up to 14 hours. I loved that they have 20 shades in this foundation which meant that there was actually a shade that perfectly matched my pale face without it looking like a mask. Of course, we used the Peach Perfect loose setting powder to set everything down and prevent anything moving throughout the day.

To accent the gorgeous, glowing base Hannah used a combination of the Peach Blur powder and Sweetie Pie Bronzer to give me a natural sun-kissed glow whilst the blur powder helped to make my skin look like it actually had an Instagram filter on, it just blurred out my pores and gave me a gorgeous glow. For the eyes we used a bunch of shades from the White Peach eye shadow palette, this palette is one of two palettes for the collection and has a combination of matte, shimmer and glitter shades. I love the shades Peach Ice, Glistening Peach and Peach Passion, of course, they are all shimmer/glitter shades, really what more did you expect from me?! We finished off the eye look with the ever famous Better Than Sex mascara for fuller and thicker lashes. To complete the look, we used the Melted Matte liquid lipstick in Cool Girl to keep all the focus on my eye makeup and glowing skin.

Of course, I couldn't leave without a couple of bits, I ended up picking up the Sex on the Peach set (it's sold out online so I've not linked it but it might be available still in store) and Hannah kindly gifted me with some samples to test out more Too Faced products. The Sex on the Peach set is such a great value for money at only £33 as you get two full-sized products and two travel sized products that is worth £67 if you bought them all separately. In the set you get a full-sized Peach Perfect loose setting powder and Better Than Sex mascara, you also get travel-size of the Primed & Peachy primer and Peach Mist makeup setting spray. I'll be popping up a review of the Sex on the Peach set once I've had the chance to give it a good test. I loved testing out the collection and I've already got my eyes on several pieces that I want to go back and buy come payday.

What do you think of the Peaches & Cream collection?

Speak to you next time!
