My Top Picks | Scouse Bird Salon

Back in September last year, I was invited to the launch of the Scouse Bird Shop and this year Steph has gone from strength to strength and has expanded her store into a bigger lot downstairs to include her very own Scouse Bird Salon and I was lucky enough to get an invite to the grand opening.

After being in work all morning, I changed and headed over to check out the new shop launch and most importantly I checked out the brand new salon. Steph has moved her shop downstairs into a bigger unit where not only can you come a stock up on your favourite candles and Scouse Bird items, you can also get your nails done and your hair blown out whilst you're there.

Like in her shop grand opening, the salon is within the Rent-A-Space in Aintree, however now it's front and centre right as you pull through the big yellow gates. No more wandering around to find it and it's also all on the ground floor level making it super accessible for everyone. I love that Steph has registered her salon on the Treatwell app because it allows you to book your appointments through there but you can also find those last minute appointments when your nails are a mess or your blow dry just didn't hold up before a big event! To celebrate the launch of the salon I thought I'd share a few of my favourite products that I found when I went to the salon launch.

Steph's salon has officially become a stockist for Owen Drew Candles, my favourite candle brand. You can pick up a range of candles from her website and in store and I would highly recommend you go and pick one up before they all sell out which I predict will be very soon! Of course, you can't come to the Scouse Bird Salon and not get some of Steph's incredible Scouse Bird clothing with hilarious phrases on them, as a recent gin convert I'm in love with this Prin Of Gin hoodie and better yet it comes in pastel colours! I was gifted the Gratitude Journal at the shop launch back in September and whilst I haven't used it religiously when I do use it, it really helps me. Especially working in the area I do sometimes writing down the positive moments I've had in my day in this journal can really help if you feel like your day has just gone from bad to worse.

As someone who's always tracked what they ate and a new starter of Slimming World, I love the Scouse Bird Food Diary. It's perfect not just for people on Slimming World but it can be used by people following Weight Watchers, calorie controlled diets and anyone that just wants to track what they eat or in my case making sure I was balancing that piece of cake with plenty of fruits and veggies. As a big tea and coffee drinker, I have an almost enviable mug collection and Steph has a pretty enviable collection of mugs for sale in her shop. Some of my favourites are the Scouse Bird Sugar Skull, Day of the Dead, and Cactus mugs. Last but certainly not least are the Liverpool Coasters you can pick up to compliment that new mug, Steph has a wide variety of iconic places in Liverpool that just call to be dotted around your house!

It's definitely worth a trip up to Aintree to visit the new salon and shop and pick up some goodies (you won't regret it!) whilst getting your hair blown out or your nails done. Be sure to come back and let me know what goodies you get when you go!

Have you been to the Scouse Bird Salon yet?

Speak to you next time!
