My Weekend At The Most Instagrammable Bar In Liverpool | The Florist

Danielle Levy, The Florist, The Florist Liverpool, Liverpool Life, food, lifestyle, Liverpool Blogger,

Since getting the beautiful invite (that included pressed flowers!) weeks ago and seeing pictures from the Bristol location, I'd been dreaming about the launch weekend for The Florist Liverpool for ages and let me tell you it did not disappoint in the slightest!

The lovely people behind The Florist are the same company (New World Trading Company) that brought The Club House and Smugglers Cove to Liverpool and after spending the weekend at The Florist, I was completely blown away, I felt like I'd walked straight into a fairytale. Not only is it insanely beautiful inside, they have an incredible food and drinks menu as well as having some incredible activities for you to do whilst you're there!

Right around the corner from the Philharmonic, The Florist is situated in what used to be The Old Blind School on Hardman Street, a building which was stunning in its own right and now they've taken it up another level with their amazing interior design. I feel like there seem to be new restaurants popping up around Liverpool all the time, but for me The Florist completely stands out from the crowd! Now they didn't do anything by half, not only did they have a launch event for bloggers and press, they went all out and had a launch weekend featuring a cocktail evening on the Saturday and a roast dinner lunch on the Sunday (I mean what else is going to help with those cocktail hangovers?!).

I'd never visited The Old Blind School before it became The Florist but they've really made the most of the space. The downstairs of The Florist has the bar as well as two bright, floral-filled seating areas as well as the terraces outside where you can enjoy those fabulous cocktails in the sun! After you've taken all those enviable Instagram pictures on the staircase, you can make your way up to the gorgeous dining area on the next floor.

At first, I didn't think I'd be able to make it to the cocktail evening, however thankfully I managed to move a couple of things around and I am so glad that I got to go. As usual, I met up with some of my favourite bloggers and was blown away as we walked into a floral wonderland! After we'd been given a quick tour around the building and told about everything that would be happening for the evening, we were given cocktails and left to go and enjoy the evening. We walked around for a little bit with some Germanium and Lychee Coolers before we given a taste of some of the masterclasses they offer. We got the chance to try out their Floristry masterclass where we could make our own mini posey to take home with us on Sunday when we came for our roasts. My posey ended up being very spring-themed with pink and lilac coloured flowers (including tulips, my fav at this time of year!). If you're interested in their masterclasses, they also offer gin and cocktail masterclasses as well as the floristry ones and you can find them all here.

Now onto the roast dinners......!

After a fairly late night, I returned to The Florist slightly tired, hungry and excited to try out the new menu with my friend Jules. I loved spending Sunday afternoon there for lunch as I really got that farm to table feel, especially surrounded by tons of beautiful flowers! I decided to try out some more of their cocktail menu and went for the Rhubarb In Bloom cocktail, with hints of rhubarb, ginger, green apple and raspberry, it was such a delicious and refreshing cocktail to accompany my lunch.

The Sunday roast menu is to die for, it's a delicious combination of different roast dinners with dairy free, vegan and vegetarian-friendly options meaning it's the perfect dinner venue as there is something for everyone. I decided to go for the slow-roasted rotisserie chicken with glazed carrots, tenderstem broccoli, red cabbage, roast potatoes and gravy as it just sounded the best to me! The roast was cooked perfectly, the slow-roasted chicken practically fell off the bone, the roast potatoes were also deliciously cooked to perfection. Whilst they do offer a variety of sides to go alongside your roast dinner, I honestly don't think you need them as the portion sizes are so generous. I was absolutely stuffed when I was only 3/4 of the way through my meal! Of course, we had to finish off the meal with some incredible desserts and The Florist didn't disappoint. I decided to go for the Orange and Lavender Creme Brulee which took Creme Brulee to the next level and Jules went for the Baked White Chocolate Cheesecake which tasted to die for as well.

The launch weekend was an absolute hit with everyone and it was filled to the brim with people. I can see it easily becoming THE place to be this Spring/Summer for dinner, drinks and parties! The decor alone makes me want to come back and take a million pretty pictures with their cocktails, I also think it's going to be my go-to place for birthday meals and drinks/celebration meals!

Have you been to The Florist yet or are you going soon?

Speak to you next time!
