Transforming My Style | Tobi.com

Danielle Levy, Tobi.com, Fashion, fashion blogger,

I've realised that when I really don't make an effort, my sense of style tends to revolve around 5/6 pieces so I've made it my quest to try and transform my style using the pieces that I already have in my wardrobe. I've also really gotten into wearing transformative pieces of clothes, you know pieces that you can rock to the office and after work drinks. Anyone else got a wardrobe full to bursting with clothes but wearing the same 6 outfits?! Just me?! Just me!!

I've come to the realisation that I'll never be the type of person that has that flawless Instagram fashion blogger style effortlessly, as such my day to day style tends to revolve around a cute t-shirt, skinny jeans and boots. So I've been using the pieces that I was sent by Tobi to help me jump start some inspiration for my clothes.

Since I've made it my goal to try and transform my style, I've been loving these two pieces from Tobi. Both of them are styles that I would normally have avoided because of my body confidence issues but lately, my outfits have been rejuvenated thanks to them. The new additions to my wardrobe are all thanks to Tobi.com. For those of you that haven't heard of them already, Tobi.com is an online clothing retailer where you can pick anything and everything you need for your perfect outfit and all the designs are inspired by the eclectic mix you can find in LA, meaning you really can find something to match everyone's sense of style.

I've been loving pairing a really big oversized, off the shoulder jumper with skinny jeans and over the knee boots. This Chills Rose sweater is the perfect addition to my wardrobe, I feel like I've been wearing it non stop and it's my perfect transition piece. This jumper has been my go-to particularly on those days when it's chilly but not cold enough for a coat, it's so oversized that I wear it off the shoulder and on cold days I pair a cami underneath (it looks gorgeous with a cami with lace straps as the lace on the strap peeks out), skinny jeans and my new love heeled suede over the knee boots. I've also been loving it with leggings and fluffy socks for chilling at home as it gives you that comfy, cosy feel whilst lounging with a giant cup of coffee, blanket and a movie.

My latest fashion transformation is dressing down bodycon dresses, I love the shoulder cutouts of this In The Knit Of Time dress and the ribbed effect means you can really dress it up and down depending on what accessories you pair with it. To dress it up I've been pairing it with my barely there glittery heels and clutch, then to dress it down I've been pairing it with some converse style trainers, my Micheal Kors smartwatch and whichever handbag is my latest obsession. I've been loving dressing this dress down as it's perfect for me if I have to go from work to drinks because you can switch the comfy trainers for some glam heels and carry your outfit on all evening.

What are your favourite transformative pieces of clothing?

Speak to you next time!

  1. I am so drawn to that first outfit - the detailing on the boots to the shade of the jumper...I just love it. I work with a bit of a capsule wardrobe and often stick to things I can pair with skinny jeans as they make such a good base. I love basics so have plenty of neutral tops and then chop and change the look with cardigans and jackets and then shoes and boots depending on the event and time of day.
