Getting The Glow | YSL Liverpool

A few weeks ago, the lovely people at YSL Debenhams invited me in store to check out their most recent launches and try them out for myself. Although I'd missed their blogging event due to being unwell, I was so happy to nip in for a one to one session with the counter's senior makeup artist Lianne to help cheer me up.

Lianne kindly invited me to the counter to check out the new glow range that had just launched, including the new Touche Eclat foundations and primers after my last trip to the YSL counter in Harvey Nics when I fell in love with the new All Hours foundation, I was excited to go and check out the new launches as I'm on always on the hunt for my perfect go-to base products.

Having the one on one consultation was great as I got a chance to try out more of the skincare products YSL offer. I popped in after a day of meetings and events so I had a full face of makeup and I got the chance to try out the Top Secrets Makeup Remover, I'm obsessed with these type of balm cleansers. There's something weirdly satisfying about seeing all the makeup break down as you rub the cleanser into your face (anyone who wears makeup knows exactly what I'm talking about & I promise you that it's not as weird as it sounds!). This is one of the best smelling balm cleansers, it smells so luxurious and left my skin feeling so moisturised and silky soft.

The huge new launches for YSL at the moment are their Touche Eclat All-In-One Glow foundation and the Colour Correcting primers. The primers help to colour correct your skin whilst giving you the radiant glow and they're perfect for wearing on your makeup-free days to give your skin a bit of radiance whilst letting your skin breathe. I tried out the pink primer that helps brighten dullness in fair skin tones but they also have an orange and a blue primer which help fight dullness and sallowness.

I've was really interested in the new foundation as Lianne explained to me that it can be worn on its own for a natural medium coverage, or you can mix it into another YSL foundation for fuller coverage, glowing skin. My dry skin and I were also excited to hear that it's a hydrating formula but for those with oilier or combination skin, it's oil-free so you won't look like a grease bomb midway through the day. It's also a great on the go foundation because it's made to be applied with your fingers which also means it's great for touch up jobs as well! Whilst I prefer a fuller coverage (e.g you can't see how spotty my skin is right now), I'm loving mixing this in with my foundation for a more dewy, glowing effect. I've been wearing just this and some mascara on my no-makeup days for glowing skin and it's my perfect for my no effort days (we all have them)!

Before I left I got a sneak peak of the new Volupte Liquid Colour balms which have only just been released (they were still under lock & key when I went in, however they've now come out on the counters). I mean look at that applicator, it's lip-shaped! Lianne also kindly gave me a couple of samples of the new Instant Moisture Glow and Touche Eclat Glow Shot to try out at home. I'm definitely gonna be back at the counter very soon and picking up some of these goodies!
