There's so always so much rushing around at this time of year and not enough self-care, with all the present buying, decorating and getting work finished for Christmas, not many of us take the time to pamper ourselves when we need it most! Take today's blogmas post as fate telling you to take this evening and pamper yourself before the all the Christmas festivities begin.

No pamper evening can properly start until your hair is scraped back and your makeup is off cause well how else are you gonna relax with a face mask in a bubble bath?! I've been living for The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter as it gets off every speck of makeup without leaving my skin feeling completely dried out.

Once my makeup is off and my hair is up, the pampering can begin! At the moment I've been loving relaxing in a bubble bath with tons of bubbles, a face mask and a hot chocolate. I am forever searching for a way to make oodles of bubbles in my bath (I'm yet to accomplish this), I've also been making a bit of a cocktail to make my bath smell and feel amazing. My favourite by far has been using Butterbear from Lush which gives my skin a hit of moisture, I've been teaming that with the Frosted Plum shower gel (my best tip is that you can use shower gel for bubbles in the bath!), seriously you will smell of cocoa butter, plum and peony goodness. Whilst I love sheets masks, I have become addicted to the expert face masks from The Body Shop since I picked up the Acai one and it quickly spiralled from there. I've really gotten into multi-masking since I went to the Em Sheldon event back in May, my latest winning combination is to use Himalayan Charcoal, Ethiopian Honey and British Rose to help purify, nourish and plump my chronically dehydrated skin.

Now it's a must when it's as cold as it has been lately that you need to put your cosy PJs and towel on the radiator, seriously it is the best thing ever when it's cold! I don't use body moisturisers half as much as I should (particularly after a shower, I'm often too tired after work) so I really make a point of using a good body butter to give my skin some moisture, I feel like this blog post is just a massive shoutout of The Body Shop products but I truly love them. It's important not to forget or cut corners with your skincare at this time of year, all the cold weather and central heating completely wrecks my skin. So during my pamper evenings I slather on the Charlotte Tilbury Magic cream and leave it to sink in whilst I relax watching a film.

When I'm off work, my pamper routine includes painting my nails whilst watching a film but seen as I'm in work till the second week in January, the last part of my pamper routine includes watching films and self-care. Of course, in December it would be rude to watch anything other than Christmas films so my pamper routines this month have contained all my favourite Christmas films. I've also been taking some time this month to prepare myself for my 2018 goal of New Year, New Me, so I've been reading inspirational/motivational blog posts and books including Get Your Sh*t Together which is such a funny kick up the butt.

What do your pamper routines include?

Speak to you next time!
