Is blogmas really complete without a blog post featuring CarnLIVal?! Last week it was CarnLIVal time and unfortunately, it fell right in the middle of three long days meaning I was exhausted but I had such a fun time and loved catching up with everyone.

I have been so excited for the past month for CarnLIVal as I feel like I've worked non-stop and missed catching with some of my favourite girls! This time Katy and Sammy kept the guest list smaller which meant I was actually able to speak to everyone and I knew pretty much everyone there which is so reassuring as I normally get event anxiety.

This time around CarnLIVal was held in the Lady of Mann pub which is right in the city centre and is like the secret garden of pubs as you have to go down a little alleyway on Dale street to find it. The lovely people at Lady of Mann had sectioned off half of the indoor bar (which is a large space in a booming city centre pub) which was amazing and considering all the space we had to sit down and talk, most of us ended up sat around one big table (think blogger's Christmas dinner style). Katy and Sam had gone to town with the decorations, there was a Christmas in the corner with Santa sacks underneath, Merry Christmas garland with Christmas cards on, snowballs adorning every table and even an advent calendar. Of course, as soon as I got there, I got a drink and gravitated over to Sam, Jess, Lyd and Jackie to have a catch-up and swap Christmas presents.

Whilst Katy and Sammy have no budget for CarnLIVal and everything is donated by brands, we always raise an incredible amount of money every time and support some amazing charities. This time around all the money raised is going to the Repeal the 8th (I got it the wrong way round in my vlog and called it support the 8th, I was extremely tired at this point so give me some credit!), they also encouraged people to put together shoe boxes/gifts for the homeless community in Liverpool. I do not have a creative bone in my body, but for those that did Katy and Sam had a snowflake decorating competition. They also had a pass the parcel which Yoshi kindly donated some bags for, I half won one (me and Jackie both had hold of the parcel as they said stop so we unwrapped it together thinking it would just be sweets inside, turned out it was the actual bag! So we rock, paper, scissored it and Jackie ended up winning the bag), but it was so fun as it was a smaller group of us that did it so it was so funny, especially when Jessi was more excited about the sweets in each layer than the prize at the end.

On top of all the fun and games, Katy and Sam organised a secret santa of sorts. Everyone coming along bought a gift along, we then all gathered around the secret santa table and picked one with the idea that you could either unwrap a present or steal someone else's already unwrapped present. We were all nice to each other and kept the presents we picked and some people managed to put together some amazing presents for £10! I picked up the One Line A Day 5-year diary from Jackie which I'm so excited to start using in 2018 and I'm hoping is going contribute to New Year, New me next year.

Just before I was about to head out in town and pick up my mum's Christmas present from my younger brother (yes he's 21 and I have to go get his gifts!), Sam handed me one of the huge santa sacks that were sat under the Christmas tree which was in fact our incredible goody bags. They had got so many incredible brands involved, not only were there books in there from Penguin, they got Kat Von D, Nyx, Garnier, Paperchase, Magic Candy Factory, Babycham and more incredible brands involved. I ended up leaving with so many bags that I had to take a quick stop off at the car as I could barely carry it to the car let alone around town.

As usual, Katy and Sam worked incredibly hard to organise CarnLIVal and it was so amazing! I loved that it was a smaller event as I was able to speak to everyone and it literally felt like a blogger's Christmas dinner! I left feeling so happy and festive and I cannot wait for the next one. Keep your eyes peeled as I'm going to be featuring the products in my goody bag across my blog, youtube channel and social media in the new year!
