Chaophraya Afternoon Tea

Chaophraya afternoon tea

I  think I may have failed at life as a girl and as a blogger, I can honestly say that I have never been for afternoon tea before. I feel like every blogger I admire has been for multiple afternoon teas at so many Instagrammable afternoon teas! So getting an invite to afternoon tea with a Thai twist at Chaophraya, I absolutely jumped at the chance to go.

Chaophraya kindly invited me and my mum down to their Liverpool branch to try out their latest launch, Afternoon Tea. Situated at the top of Liverpool One, Chaophraya is a great option for lunch or dinner out. With several branches throughout the UK, they all bost stunning designs and incredible interiors.

Whilst their new afternoon tea doesn't come with cucumber sandwiches, it comes with two different options, chocked full of Thai flavours. There are two options (with different price points) to go for, depending on what you fancy. Both of which come with an optional glass of prosecco (a must for non-drivers) to top it off. We decided to both go for option 1 which is £15.95 per person and comes with duck in a hirita bun, pandan wrapped chicken and vegetable spring rolls. Now onto the sweet stuff, you also get their Thai pancakes and deep fried banana as well as the ever-popular scone with jam and clotted cream. You also get a pot of delicious coffee or loose-leaf tea in either traditional tea, herbal or fruit.

I loved this afternoon tea, I'm not a massive sandwich person and I'm definitely not a cucumber person so it was perfect for me. My mum loved all of it, especially the duck in hirita buns and the fried banana. I was all about the loose-leaf tea, Thai pancakes and scones. I found it so reasonably priced for how much food you get, it doesn't look like much but by the time you get half-way through you are full! I can't wait to go back for Thai pancakes and prosecco with some of my friends!

Where's your favourite place for afternoon tea?

Speak to you next time!

  1. I love how non-traditional this afternoon tea is! I'm a big Chaophraya fan, their thai fish cakes and satay curries are delicious! Plus who doesn't love those fish over the entrance way and Romeo & Juliet toilets? Such a fab place, and this afternoon tea looks like one well worth trying! Thai pancakes sound amazing!
