Roccabox X Em Sheldon

Earlier this year I picked up my first subscription box, the Curated Combination box and it's really opened my eyes to subscription boxes. I just so happened to be going through my Insta-stories, pre-night shift a couple of weeks ago and spotted Em Sheldon talking about her exciting collaboration with Roccabox and just had to have it!

Roccabox is another brand new subscription box service that started at the beginning of 2017. Each box is only £10 plus postage and yes they ship throughout the UK and to some countries in Europe. Each month, every single Roccabox is curated with a different blogger showing their favourite products that you have to try out. For August, the lovely Em Sheldon who features fitness, fashion, beauty, travel and lifestyle over on Em Talks has curated her own Roccabox featuring some of her favourites.

I got the chance to meet the lovely Em Sheldon at her multi-masking masterclass with The Body Shop a couple of months ago and I've been obsessed with her vlogs ever since, she is absolutely killing it with life and blogging! I noticed Em saying how excited she was for her collaboration with Roccabox on her Instagram stories and I knew I just had to have it. With her current beauty obsessions being flawless base products, incredible skin care and basically anything that makes her skin glowy and that is truly reflected in her box.

First up to make your skin glow is St. Tropez Self Tan Express sheet mask, this mask packs a punch for only £8. This revolutionary sheet mask contains their hydrating tanning serum to nourish your skin whilst giving you a radiant, dewy glow. The best part about this sheet mask is that you can alter the glow you get from it depending on how long you wear it. For me being super pale, I'd only stick with wearing it for about 5 minutes which if I'm careful I could potentially get 3 uses out of this mask or if you want a deeper radiance and glow you can leave the mask on for 15 minutes. I never knew that you could get a tanning sheet mask for your face and as pale as pale comes, I'm super excited to give this a try and get perfect glowing skin!

Also on the skincare front was the Elemis Hydra-Boost day cream. This deeply-hydrating day cream is a dry skin's saviour. It's packed full of anti-oxidants, vitamin E, hyaluronic acid and starflower oil. This super nourishing day cream helps to lock in moisture whilst strengthening your skin to leave it plump, hydrated and smooth. We were kindly given a 15ml travel size, if you fancy the full size you can get it for £40 for 50ml which makes it an amazing size for a sample. So far I've only had the chance to try this out on the back of my hand (which is WAY drier than my face, nurse problems!), it smells incredible. I've never smelt starflower but I'm presuming that is what is giving it the gorgeous slightly fruity scent. I love that even though it is marketed for people with dry skin, it is not a super thick, balmy texture and absorbs almost instantly!

Now not forgetting about the skin on our bodies and how much everyone (including me) loves a bath, Em included a Miss Patisserie Sea Salt bath melt. This handmade, vegan bath melt contains detoxifying sea salt which helps cleanse your skin whilst the cocoa and shea butter helps to soften, nourish and put some much needed moisture back into your skin after a sunny summer or holiday. These amazing bath melts are only £4.50, you either use it all in one or in several baths by breaking it up into several pieces. All the bath melts come in a super cute cupcake shape, complete with cupcake wrapper. There is something about the sea salt melt that I just can't stop smelling it whilst you get a hint of sea salt, the cocoa and shea butter give it a subtle sweet scent that helps the sea salt not be too in your face. It comes in 5 other scents meaning if sea salt isn't your thing, you've got 5 other scents to choose from!

I saved the two most exciting products for last!

First up is the Smashbox Always On liquid lipstick in Drivers Seat. This liquid lipstick gives you a perfect matte pout without drying your lips out! The shade Drivers Seat is marketed as a universally flattering pinky-nude shade and I can see why. On my pale skin it comes across as a deeper pink colour, however on their website you can see it on different skintones and it comes across as a lovely natural pinky colour, perfect for every day. The full size is 4ml for £19 and unfortunately it doesn't say anywhere on the liquid lipstick I received how many mls of the product you get but I think this is full size which is incredible considering the box is only £10! I could not have found a more me shade of liquid lipstick to receive, I can definitely see myself getting a lot of use out of it!

Lastly it wouldn't be something to do with Em Sheldon without a super food being involved. The Nails INC NailKale nail polish in Claremont Street is a stunning turquoise/mint green nail polish. Each polish in the NailKale range is jam packed with kale extract and their regenerating complex to give you nourished, stronger and healthier nails. So even if you aren't the world's biggest fan of Kale you can get some of its super food benefits in your nails! At £15 for the full size, it's £5 more than the price of your Roccabox, making this box such a great value for money! Now I do love to wear mint green colours all year round but it is also the perfect last hurrah to summer before the colder, rainer weather comes with September.

Even though this is only my first Roccabox, I would highly highly recommend it. For £13.95 with shipping for a box of products that are worth over £50, the value for money is just incredible! Em has curated the perfect balance of products with makeup to skincare and bath to tanning products. Here's to many more amazing Roccaboxes!
