My Goals For 2017

Tomorrow is the last day of 2016 and it's the time of year to look back over the last year and to think about the next year to come. This year has been amazing and I feel like I accomplished so much over the year; I got my first staff nurse job in my dream hospital, I graduated from my undergraduate degree, I started as a nurse in critical care, I made some amazing friends through blogging, and I've been invited to some amazing events!

For the next 12 months, I hope to only see myself and my goals go up and achieve so much. I have been thinking recently about some things I want to work on throughout 2017 to be able to make this year ahead as amazing as 2016 has been.

Start Saving
The past couple of years my financial budget has revolved around just about affording rent, bills and travel costs. At the end of 2016, I was lucky enough to start my first position as a staff nurse and with that came a salary so I've actually been in a position to be able to purchase things cause I wanted to and not had to worry that if I bought something I wouldn't have enough money for a bill or for getting to university/placement for a couple of days. For 2017 I want to start building up my savings and paying off my credit card ready for when I move out.

Stay Organised
As you can see from the picture for this blog post and multiple youtube videos last year I got my first Erin Condren life planner, but as my life got pretty hectic at the end of 2016 I found myself using it less and a couple of weeks I didn't end up planning my week out which left me essentially wasting my days off work. I love the Erin Condren life planners so this year I am determined to use every single week and get more accomplished during my time off work!

Loose Weight & Tone Up
I think this is a goal that loads of people make every year, and it was one of mine last year that I kind of half got into. This year now I have a steady and consistent work schedule, I can be more health conscious, workout more, and make better food choices, all for the benefit for my health. I'm seriously hoping that by improving my diet and working out more will help with my B12 deficiency.

Blog & Youtube
During 2016, I did so much more on my blog and attended a bunch of amazing events, I also set up and kept my youtube channel going and it's a year old already which is insane! Over the next year I want to up my game for both my blog and youtube channel, I even treated myself to a lovely new camera to improve my photos and videos over the next year! I'm also playing with the idea of starting up a second channel for my vlogs, but that's just still an idea at the moment as I'm still playing around with names.

Self-Care
I spent all of my time caring for other people and I've noticed recently that I don't really take care of myself very well. Yes I eat, shower etc but I don't care for me and my mental health as often as I should! Over the next year I want to make a point of doing more things for me, doing facemasks, bubble baths, reading books, spending more time outside/with friends and family away from technology, some time where I can just look after me for a little while.

What are your goals for 2017?

Speak to you next time!
