Let's Get Lazy

This year I made it one of my goals to have more me time and relax more; completing a nursing degree and placements whilst holding down a job and social life is hectic, it leaves me working until late in the evening/going to bed after midnight and getting up at 6.30/7am. In 2016, I want to have a relaxation day or evening/a lazy day where I don't have an exact plan of what I am going to be doing that day (anyone that knows me, knows I plan everything and am never without my planner)!

I love getting to lie in and it is definitely something I take full advantage of. I generally will set a 9am alarm, just so that I don't sleep in past lunch by accident! I always have to start my day off with a cup of tea, it's a weird thing I've done for years that it's stuck and I rarely go for anything other than tea. Not gonna lie to you guys....if I'm having a lazy day, I really don't tend to have breakfast (I also sometimes eat unhealthy foods for breakfast, but sssshh!).

I get full use out of my bed on lazy days, so I'll usually take my tea and go back to bed. I often sit there with Netflix or Youtube and will work on blog posts, plan ideas for blog posts or videos, do some online shopping, read blogs or just be lazy in bed, binge watch my latest Netflix obsession and cuddle my cat!

I will literally watch Netflix and YouTube all day whilst being on my laptop until it's later in the evening, then it's time for a LUSH bubble bath (is there really any other way to end the day?!) and dinner. Because I live at home, we tend to eat dinner as a whole family pretty much every day, sometimes we are missing one or two people but it's often all of us. I always love this time to the day as we all have hectic schedules so I find it really nice that we all sit down together for dinner (it's the small things!). Depending on what time we have dinner; I will sometimes sit down in the living room with the family while they watch TV for a little while or I will go straight up and start getting ready for bed (yes sometimes we eat quite late, it really does depend on everyone's schedule and who cooks dinner).

What do you do on a lazy day?

Your profession is not what brings home your weekly paycheck, your profession is what you're put here on earth to do, with such passion and such intensity that it becomes spiritual in calling. ~ Vincent Van Gogh
