Showing Urban Decay Some Liverpool Love

Liverpool women and even a couple of amazing men are famous throughout the country for our makeup and fashion choices and with our makeup choices comes our love of Urban Decay, so it was only right that they opened a stand-alone store in the city centre! And I got a sneak peek at the new store at a recent VIP launch!

I wanted to say a massive Merry Christmas to everyone that reads my blog or watches my youtube channel! This past year as gone so incredibly fast and so much as changed that is is seriously unreal!!

My Favourite Christmas Films

It's not December without a Christmas movie marathon and I have fully been taking advantage of being able to watch all the Christmas movies I possibly can! I thought I would share with you all my favourite Christmas movies.

My Christmas Wishlist

It's coming to that part of December where you start being asked for gift ideas from friends and relatives, I know a couple of my friends and family have been asking me a lot for ideas! So here's some things that I'm currently lusting after, please bear in mind that this is not a realistic wishlist and I'd be very lucky to get just one.

The Christmas Tag

It's about that time in Blogmas that I included a tag blog post right?! I've begun to feel increasingly festive, I'm going to put it down it down to playing Micheal Buble's Christmas album on repeat in my car every day! I spotted this tag over on Milk Bubble Tea and thought I'd give it a try.

Let's Get Christmasy With A Christmas Playlist

We're coming to the end of the first full week in December and I'm not going to lie, I might have had Christmas music playing since the 2nd of December. Now I know music is a very personal thing and granted you're not guaranteed to like everything on this little list but I feel like with Christmas music more people tend to like the same songs. So I decided to share my favourite Christmas songs that I love to listen to in the run up to Christmas.

CarnLIVal

Last week I got the chance to attend CarnLIVal, a blogger event in Liverpool (get it?!) organised by the lovely Katy and Sam. I've been to the past two blogger events organised by these lovelies and each time they always put so much time and effort into organising the event and it really shows on the day!

Time To Fill The Stockings

December is slowly but surely passing us and before we know it, it's going to be the 22nd and you're darting about the shops trying to find stocking fillers! I've started picking up little bits ready for everyone's stockings so I thought I would share my top picks at the moment for him and her!

Time For Christmas Jumpers

The past two years I've gotten more into wearing Christmas jumpers and t-shirts. I'm not going to lie, this year I've decided to go all out with being festive this year, however I've decided I am going to start off being slightly Christmasy at the beginning of December to being full out festive as we get closer to Christmas! With that in mind I thought I would show you my jumper wishlist for this year.

Christmas Lush Haul

Some of you lovelies may have already that this month I included a Lush Christmas haul on my youtube channel with all the bits I picked up from Lush Liverpool not too long ago. I've always loved the Christmas products they bring out, I am slightly gutted however that some of my favourites haven't made a return this year!

What's your favourite product in the Lush Christmas collection?

Speak to you next time!

Christmas Gift Guide for Her & Him

This year I decided I wanted to try including a Christmas gift guide in my blogmas blog posts. Now this isn't going to be really exhaustive list of presents but some great things I've found over the past couple of weeks that would make really cool Christmas presents!

Beauty Advent Calendars

We are officially mid-November, so that means it's totally acceptable to get into the Christmas spirit and start looking at advent calendars, right?! Over the past couple of years beauty advent calendars have been growing in popularity and nearly every brand seems to have released one for 2016, so here's my picks for this year! I've tried to separate them into different categories and I've also tried to put them in price order starting from cheapest to the most expensive.

The Body Shop Bold Street Event

Last week after a long shift at work, I was invited down to The Body Shop on Bold Street to check out their products and try them out whilst catching up with some amazing bloggers in a smaller, more intimate blogger event!

Time For Pupcakes

I don't know if I've ever introduced you lovelies to my dog and cat, both are getting older now so this year we decided to do a bit more than we usually do for his doggy birthday. This year we decided to have a puppy party after all the trick or treaters had been (yes my dog is a Halloween baby and where we live has mostly younger children which means our trick or treaters usually don't knock too late into the evening!). For his puppy party, I used some of my baking skills to whip up some pupcakes for him and I thought I would share the recipe with you all because he loved them!

As much as I love talking about everything I do on my blog, I decided a couple of weeks ago that I wanted to start doing an interview series "Behind The...." which I am hoping to include bloggers, vloggers and brands (hint hint to anyone that would like to be involved!). I'm hoping through this series, you will get to know some of my favourite bloggers, vloggers and brands as well as find out some interesting things along the way! Things I love about autumn

Well Starbucks re-released their Pumpkin Spice Lattes and the rainy, cloudy weather has begun......I think we can officially say Autumn has well and truly arrived!! Let me tell you, I could not be happier.....major winter baby alert! Now I know that not everyone is as in love with autumn as me so I thought I would tell you all some of the reasons why I love (and maybe convert some of you into autumn/winter lovers)!

Getting Dream hands with Weleda

As a nurse my hands take such a beating on a daily basis from all the hand washing and hand sanitisers that I feel like my hands look and feel 10 years older than I am. So I was super exciting to try out the Weleda Skin Food to see if it could solve my rough, sore, worn out, old hands!

Liquid Lipsticks & Facials with The Body Shop

As you may already know, liquid lipsticks have been everywhere this year. From Kylie Jenner to Sleek and now The Body Shop have launched their own version. To kick off October, I got to attend The Body Shop in Birkenhead for their first ever event and let me tell you they killed it!

Favourite Autumn Lipcolours

Yes we are the second official day of autumn, so it's totally acceptable to have an autumnal blog post already right?! Since I've been off for the whole of September and been able to, I feel like I've worn so many lipcolours (I'm not normally a massive lip product person, normally just lip balm). As I've been wearing and buying so many recently, I thought I would show you all because we all secretly love to hoard lip products, right?!

What blogging has taught me

I was thinking recently that I've been blogging for over 2 years now, so it was about time that I did a blog post about what blogging has taught me during the past two years. I'm hoping that the bloggers among us will completely understand these or for those who are new to blogging/want to start blogging, it could be some helpful hints and tips!

4

call me Staff Nurse Levy

So I am writing this blog post at a very special time.....I've just received a letter telling me my university classification, so that means I've officially finished my degree and I am officially a fully qualified staff nurse!!! How insane is that?!

2

A whole lot of questions

A couple of weeks ago, the lovely Emma tagged in the 'A Whole Lot of Questions Tag' blog post. I thought I'd join in and do another blogging tag post that will tell you all a bit more about me. I would strongly advise you get yourself a cup of tea and a comfy spot on the couch because this is going to be a long blog post!!
2

Gravitate Nutrition

As you may have seen the other month, the lovely people over at Gravitate Nutrition got in touch with the opportunity to try out their monthly weight loss supplement kits. Now I'm not the skinniest asparagus in the bunch and a current work in progress, so I was super excited to try out these kits to help me get over my weight loss plateau.

3

Gyptain Life with Sera Ulger LDN

Now as you may be aware I don't always do fashion blog posts because I am not all that confident with my body (that however I am working on!), so I was really excited to be invited to the launch of Sera Ulger's fabulous latest collection Gyptain Life in Topshop Liverpool. As a liverpool blogger, it was great to have a fashion in the city centre as a lot of them seem to revolve around London.

Girl Gang Event

A couple of weeks ago, I got a super exciting message on Twitter from the lovely Jemma or Dorkface (and if you don't know who she is, shame on you!) letting me know that a last minute place had come up for the first Girl Gang event and I literally squealed with joy and yes I was in public when she told me so I looked like a complete idiot!!
2

LivHelps Event

It's time for another blogger event blog post!! After attending the NWmeet hosted by the lovely Katy and Sam, I was super excited to receive an email from Sam to say that she was planning another blogger event but with a charity twist!

Pink Parcel Unboxing

As I am sure many of you lovelies are aware, not too long ago I was gifted a Pink Parcel box at the Liverpool Period Project event. I was really intrigued when I saw this box in my goody bag and wanted to share it with you all as I thought it is an amazing idea or even a great gift!

1

I'm That Girl

I'm back with another tag style blog post, a fellow Liverpool blogger Alisha made up her own blogger tag and kindly tagged me in it. The idea behind Alisa's tag is to tell all of you lovelies reading my blog 20 random non-blog facts about myself to help you all get to know the blogger behind the blog.

Countdown to becoming a staff nurse

Holy sh*t guys in 22 days I will be a qualified nurse! How has that come around so fast?!!

#LPP Event Goody Bag

Last week I told all you lovelies reading that I got the chance to attend an amazing blogger event that was in support of the Whitechapel Centre and homeless women in Liverpool, just before I left the event Sam gave me a massive goody bag from all the amazing brands that got involved and seriously you guys this goody bag is so good it needed it's own blog post!! Be prepared and get yourself a cup of tea, this is going to be a long post!

0

#LPP Event

At the end of last month I got the chance to attend another blogger event, except this one had a couple of really exciting twists.....it was for homeless women in Liverpool & it was planned by two lovely bloggers, one of which is a really close friend!

Getting Fit with GymCube ~ First Impressions

As most of you are probably aware I'm on a journey to become healthier and make better choices food and fitness wise. A part of that is to exercise more and hopefully loose a little bit of weight and get trim in the process! If you didn't know I am a student nurse with roughly 5 weeks left before I qualify as a registered nurse (well I have passed all my exams, I just need to 'pass' this final placement and then I will be a registered nurse), as a student nurse I work (yes it's work, I have my own patients like any other nurse!) 37.5 hours a week which means I am up at 5am and not back home till about 19.30 in the evening which makes getting to the gym quite challenging at times! So when the lovely Rick from GymCube got in touch offering me a 6-month membership to their online gym system I jumped at the chance!

Getting a tan with Madame LA LA

There is something you should know about me....I really struggle to get any sort of tan! I haven't sunbathed since about high school but when I do 'catch' the sun, I burn then go brown for less than a week and it all peels off! Over the years I have begun to come to terms with my paleness (that sounds really silly to say but I have!), however I've never really been able to like how pale my legs are when I wear skirts, dresses or shorts.

2

Lazy Day Essentials

Last month I got the rare chance to have a week off before I started my sign-off placement. Not going to lie to you guys I probably should have been prepping for my final placement & getting my blog posts and videos scheduled (I may have only been able to get a weeks worth scheduled because I enjoyed having some time to myself with no exams/essays/research to do). So I thought I would tell you all my lazy day essentials, sometimes I don't get the chance to have a full lazy day, sometimes just a lazy evening but these are my essentials when I have some time truly to myself.

Life Rambles ~ I started vlogging!

I think it's about time for another life rambles post. If any of you lovelies reading don't know about my YouTube channel, I recently ventured out into a new style of video that I am currently loving.............

Making it rose with pandora

Last week I got a super exciting email from Marie Claire inviting me down to the local Pandora store in Liverpool One for the launch of their new rose gold jewellery and it was such an amazing evening!

Summer At La Tasca

A couple of weeks ago I got a really exciting email about the refurbishment and new menu at La Tasca Liverpool. With everything from bottomless sangria & paella to flamingo dancers & absolutely stunning decor, it made for such an amazing evening! They also kindly gave me a discount voucher for you all which you can find at the bottom of this post.

My AM/PM Routine

I don't know about you but I love watching people's routine videos on YouTube and reading their blog posts as I think I'm really just nosey as to how people organise their mornings/evenings. I think it also prompts me to become more organised in my daily routines (mine do slip from time to time) by seeing how other people organise theirs! I tend to stick to a routine probably about 50% of the time and I find that if I don't stick to some form of routine, my mornings/evenings just become a complete mess and I end up just watching Netflix for hours! That being said I saw Sally from The Makeup Directory post about her AM/PM routine in the form of a tag post and I really wanted to try it out and do my own as I am not skilled enough to film a routine video for my YouTube channel!
2

Pancakes Without Eggs??!

So last week I uploaded a picture to my social media of some egg-less pancakes I made which I promptly fell in love with and am now addicted to. When I posted it on social media, everyone wanted to me to put up the recipe on my blog, so here it is!

4

First Impressions ~ Gravitate Nutrition

If you have been reading my blog since the start of 2016, you will know that one of my new years resolutions is to tone up and loose some weight. I'm not going to lie, I started in January doing really well with working out and eating well & unfortunately things slipped as they do and I put 14 hour shifts ahead of working out/eating extremely healthy. So last week when I got the chance to try out Gravitate's 30 day weight loss kit, I nearly jumped out of my seat to try it!

7

Liebster Award

Well the past couple of weeks, I've been really popular as the lovely Stefanny from WAALIX, Sam from Sabre Beauty and Alisha from Alisha Valerie nominated me for the Liebster blogging award which was super super sweet of her! If you've never heard of the Liebster award, it is an award that is given to bloggers (with I think under 200 followers) from fellow bloggers who love their blogs and to share some blogger love!

May Favourites

I am the only one that feels like May has gone super fast?!! I've only got 4 months till I qualify, I've been given a start date for my staff nurse position and I'm about to start my final placement. It'll be the end of the year before we know it! As I said at the beginning of the year, I tend to stick to pretty much the same things on a month to month basis and it's only when something runs out that I tend to try something new. With that being said, this month I've picked up quite a few little bits that I've fallen in love with over the course of this month and have become my favourites!

Fleur De Force 'The Glam Guide' Book Review

I thought this week I would branch out my blog posts as I wanted to start including a couple of books, mainly because I used to be such a MASSIVE book worm when I was younger and I want to fall back in love with them! Now I know YouTuber books are in that kind of grey area as it seems like EVERYONE has or is bringing one out and it's just a case of waiting for the next one. However this was the first book I bought that was written by a YouTuber, mainly because it looked so pretty and Fleur De Force was one of the first YouTubers I ever watched when I first started watching videos.

Liv Bloggers Ball

A couple of Sundays ago I got the chance to attend another Liverpool Bloggers event organised by the fabulous Steph Bewley. After attending the first event which was a cocktail making masterclass that you can read about here where I had such a great time, I was so excited to attend another event! In the run up to the day, I had found out that some of my favourite bloggers that I love to chat to online were coming to this one and I was so excited to meet everyone and catch up!

My B12 Deficiency

I decided that today I wanted to open up to all you lovelies about something I've struggled with for over 10 years! I have a pernicious anaemia which is also known as B12 deficiency and it is something I have really suffered from and unfortunately there is currently no cure so it is something I have had to adapt my life to.

Within the red blood cells in your body, you have 3 components that are essential to allow the RBC's to perform their main function of carrying oxygen around your body. One of these components is vitamin B12 or cobalamin (which you can actually find in a lot of meat, fish and dairy), once it's ingested it binds to an intrinsic factor which allows it to be digested within the intestine. Unfortunately for some people with pernicious anaemia their condition can actually be caused by their bodies inability to produce that factor, although for most people that suffer from PA the problem lies with their bodies actually producing anti-intrinsic factor antibodies which essentially kill off the intrinsic factors that the vitamin B12 need to bind to. Because our bodies cannot tell the difference between the healthy and unhealthy intrinsic factors, it is referred to as an autoimmune disorder as the body kills off all the cells of that type.
