My 3rd Year Goals

On Monday I started back at university for my third and final year at university.....not going to lie I am absolutely terrified!!! To kind of celebrate that I thought I would do this post with some goals I want to set myself for this next year, think of it like New Year's resolutions for my nursing degree.

Put university first
Sometimes in the past I haven't been the best at this....yes I have left a few assignments to the last minute. This year I want to put my degree first over my job or social life, I have quite a few very large very important assignments and exams coming up this year which need to be my main focus.

Get organised
I am going to try everything in my power to improve my organisational skills this year. This includes university and my blog side, I want to be prepared and actual complete the things I set myself every week.

Weekly/Monthly goals
I want to try setting myself goals this year each week or each month in the hope it will improve my organisation and motivation.

Grades
As I'm sure is usual for school related posts, it can't be a school post without something related to grades. I want to try this year and get the best possible grades I can this year without stressing myself out.

I personally don't think I read enough so I am making it my goal to read more nursing related things, such as journal articles or studies. I want to do this to improve my knowledge and give myself more of a rationale as to why we do something a certain way and not just because that was what we were taught in uni!

Reward myself
I don't do this enough with everything I do, I have decided that this year if I get everything I need to do in a week or month (not entirely decided yet), I will reward myself with whatever I fancy that week/month.

NWmeet Goody Bag

Like I promised in my NWmeet post, I said I would tell you guys how amazing Katy and Sam did in getting brands involved and the amazing goody bags they had waiting for us!

When we arrived they had arranged for there to be an amazing snack table that we could all snack on throughout the event and they even had the super cool idea to have little bags so that we could make snack bags to take away with us. I picked up some Propercorn Sweet Coconut & Vanilla and Sweet & Salty popcorn (these are so delicious!!), Green & Black's 70% dark chocolate, Primal Pantry hazelnut & cocoa paleo bar, Just Bee blueberry, lemon & honey infused water and finally Blk. water (which blew everyone's mind at the actual event!).

A Day in the Life of a Student Nurse ~ On Placement

I have been seeing this idea (mostly on youtube) and thought it would be really interesting to do it from a student nurse perspective. This is going to be a two part post, as half of my year I spend in placement and half of it I spend in university. So once I am back at university in October I will do the second part then! I'm sure you are all well aware, student nurses work a range of shifts and the placement I am currently on I am on short shifts so this will be written from a early short shift perspective (I may do another version when I am on a long shift, who knows!).

Smudge Boutique A/W Preview

Last week I was lucky enough to be able to attend an autumn/winter preview at Smudge boutique in West Kirby. I remember when I use to work in a restaurant in West Kirby, I always loved to pop in and get some fashion inspiration, I also loved picking up little gifts for people in there as well.

NWmeet Blogger Meet

Last week I got the amazing opportunity to attend the NWmeet bloggers meet up. This was my first bloggers meet up as the only other blogger event I've attended was the ESPA event but it was a smaller event and there was only a handful of other bloggers there. Originally I wasn't able to get a place as it filled up super fast, however I was super lucky as someone unfortunately couldn't attend and Katy was really nice and had put me on a back up list so I got the chance to go.

Prairie Pizzazz Luau Party Box

This month I got the opportunity to be part of the Prairie Charms blogging team for their boxes that they are releasing. Each box costs £35, with over £75 worth of products inside. 10% of each box also goes towards Great Ormond Street Hospital's: Kiss It Better campaign which raises money to fight childhood cancer.
