ESPA Skincare Blogger Event

On Thursday I got the chance to attend a blogger event held by ESPA Skincare in the Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar in Liverpool One for the launch of their Little Book of Summer.

It was so nice to be able to go to a blogger event in Liverpool as a lot of the blogger events I hear about are mostly down south unfortunately! The event was held in the Wow champagne bar in the Beauty Bazaar, before the event I met two of my lovely blogger friends Danielle and Chelsea at the train station and of course we arrived super early which gave us plenty of time to grab a Cafe Nero and have a girly blogger chat right outside the Beauty Bazaar!

When we arrived we were welcomed by the lovely Danielle McAnally the counter manager for ESPA, we were given prosecco and sat round little tables with ESPA candles burning (which smelt amazing) chatting whilst we waited for the last couple of bloggers to arrive.

After everyone had arrived Danielle introduced us to The Little Book of Summer Beauty which is a limited edition collection for summer (it is beautifully packaged by the way) containing three of ESPA's time-honoured popular skincare essentials. This set is the perfect introduction to ESPA as it contains their 24 hour moisturiser, the proserum, and the pink hair and scalp mud (that you can also use on your feet overnight with socks for really soft feet the next day!). Best part of it this set only costs £25 for such amazing products that you only need a tiny bit of so they really will last so long!

Once all the introductions were done, we were spilt into little groups of bloggers which allowed you to get a more individualised experience with the brand and the products. She then went through the philosophy of the brand and how the products work with the skin. Each product above was then explained in depth to us and we were also given ideas for the best ways to use the products as well trying them out on the back of our hands. She also introduced us all to their brand new gradual tanner, which I am going to have to purchase when I am paid. This stuff is worth its weight in gold, best bit of all......it smells AMAZING!!

After hearing everything about the brand, I must say that I am falling more and more in love with the products and am way too excited to try them all out (yes I was a good blogger and waited to take photos before I used them!). I am also loving that lip balm, that reminds me of the Elizabeth Arden 8hr cream but so so much better. Come on, just look at that packaging! How cute would look being pulled out of your purse?!!

Once we'd been introduced to the brand and the gorgeous new summer collection, we were treated to a hand and arm massage using some of the ESPA products by the amazing Tinisha. That girl is seriously talented and introduced us to the scrub and lotion and it actually showed us just how dehydrated the skin on our bodies were because our skin soaked up the oil from the scrub. The lotion was so refreshing, Tinisha even mentioned that it can be used as an after sun lotion and put in the fridge during those extra hot months to cool you down! The best part of the massages is that whenever you pay for a massage at ESPA in the Beauty Bazaar, the price of the massage is redeemable against their products. It's like getting a free massage when purchasing some amazing skincare!

Unfortunately we had to leave our massages and move over to Anna who gave us each an individual skin analysis and consultation. They did something completely different that I have never seen a skincare brand do before, when giving us our skin consultation they used a technique that I think was called sense-ology. Anna explained that this technique was where you smelt two products (we were smelling two different toners and then two different serums) and you stated which one you preferred best, whichever product you preferred was the one that your body was telling you that you needed. We smelt a balancing toner and a hydrating toner and I ended up needed the balancing toner, it was such a really interesting way of figuring out which skincare products to go for.

After we finished our skin analysis (which I was really happy with because Anna said that my skin was really well hydrated and she could tell I'd been exfoliating, thank you Magnitone and my goal to drink 2l of water a day) we were then given a mini skincare gift set that included the Optimal Skin Procleanser, 24-Hour Balancing Moisturiser, 24-Hour Replenishing Eye Moisturiser, Optimal Skin Proserum, and the Balancing Herbal Spafresh. These all came within a gorgeous little purple bag that is the perfect size bag for the handbag.

Thank you so much to ESPA and Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar, I will definitely coming back for a massage and more products when these run out!
